Nick & Nikki’s Place began a million miles away from the technological glamour and wizardry of the internet. In 1977 Nick opened the first of several day centres for the treatment of alcohol related problems, including one from the premises of a GP.

Hundreds of people passed through over a period of twelve years. In 1989 he founded the residential Chaucer Clinic which ran until 2006 earning him an MBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

Nikki was Chaucer’s General Manager and their shared desire to move up to another level with all they had learned, drove them closer to an online participation where tens of thousands could benefit. Already established with www.addictionnetwork.co.uk which had 200,000 visitors per month, they have moved it to one side to give centre stage to NICK & NIKKI’S Place which is now open to the world.
